Currently

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I think this sem is quite looking up: not much requirements and not so bad grades. I’ll be bummed, though, if I find out that I’m not doing as good as I hoped.

Anyway, I wanna go on a Coffee Date. Interested? Random.

I feel nervous too because the rankings for the Junior Term Abroad will be released within a week. I really don’t care about the rankings just as long as I get a good enough rank to get a slot in my dream school. I’d totally kill for that slot. Above anyone, I think, I’m the one who has researched the most about this semester abroad [thus the greater pain]. Dreams, please turn into reality- been planning so much stuff already.

Oh here goes…

Junior Term Abroad

so i’ve been thinking about junior year plans. ateneo has this thing where you can be an exchange student for the sem. the schools they’re offering that i’m interested in are SNU and Sogang University. i know i am not gonna get into SNU because only 2 slots are being offered, and besides, they have a shorter stay in korea than Sogang goers. and i think life in SNU’s gon be pretty toxic. X( so basically, i’m pretty much set on Sogang. i also have heard a lot about it from my peers, so i’m really excited. a Yonsei student also told me that conversational Korean is taught best in Sogang so that’s really awesome!!

i’m a bit unsure, though, if i can manage being away from family for 5 months. i love Seoul, in fact, i consider it my second home, but isn’t 5 months too long? gaaah. everything’s perfect, though. i’m learning basic korean this sem, which is enough to get me started and i’m taking breakdance which will help me in “you know”.. :> there will also be enough time for me to “you know” in Seoul. hahaha

i guess i’m going if all things go smoothly. and hopefully, i fulfill my dream. ;) *wishful thinking

THOUGHTS

probably one of the best things about ateneo is that it gives you a chance to give back the blessings that you have received.

today we went to this area in payatas where a GK village was planned to be built. it touched my heart how these people, with their meager salaries, give time to help each other out and help their community. the kids brought a smile to my face because they did not show any sign of poverty whatsoever. spending the day with them, along with the best blockmates in the whole world, made the experience extra special.

even though we were hungover from the previous night, it was great that we were still able to sing, dance, and play with these children. LOL

it was a tiring day, but a very fulfilling one.
